Tournament Prep Class
These classes are designed specifically to make sure your performance at the Tournament is the best you can get. Plenty of our students in the past, who were previously worried about participating in the tournament, including those who were joining for the first time, found out that with this class they were ready once the day came.
This class will take place all throughout the months of March and April 2015 on the following Dates: Tuesdays starting on 3/10/2015 from 6pm to 7pm until 4/14/2015.
We will be working on the following:
1. Forms– We will have you run a test scenario where you will get a chance to try a real
life tournament feel while performing a form. You will be guided on your performance, and we will improve your skill and overall ability to perform with an audience.
2. Sparring – We will be practicing sparring combinations, as well as sparring strategies to ensure you do well in your group. Please bring your sparring gear, but if you happen not to have any, you may see your instructor, and we will take care of it for you.
3. Weapons – We will be working on any weapon’s form you would like to present at the tournament. If you do not have a form yet, we will teach you one.
Pricing and Other Details:
$45 for 2 Classes | $95 for 4 classes | $150 for 6 classes | $199 for 6 classes + a weapon and a patch

What belt do I have to be to participate? All Belts are invited. From White to Black and above. In fact, as long as you are 3 years old and a white belt, you are welcome to participate.
Am I to old to participate? No. We have divisions for all ages.
Do I have to do it? Like many other sports, such as football and baseball, we have “games” just as well. The tournament is our “game” and we expect as many of you to participate as possible. Please try to attend to as many tournaments as you can, but no one is forced to do it.
What time would my events be at? Download our Tournament Guide and Times above to find your specific event and ring number.
What should I wear? Wear your full uniform with logo patch on the left hand side. If you are sparring, bring your full sparring gear including shoes, helmet, mouthpiece, gloves, shin guards and cup.
Do I need to stay until the end? Not necessarily. The events start at 8am until 5pm, but you can just come to your event only if you would like. There is an exhibition at 12pm by the Senseis, so we encourage you to stay and watch that event.
How many Prep Classes should I do? As many as you like. The more you do the better. However, if you have done several tournaments before, you can do a couple. If you are new to this, do as many as you can.
